Solara Pet Imaging — For Veterinarians

Specialist imaging for your patients. They stay yours.

When a patient needs ultrasound, Solara brings the study to them: in your clinic on a day you schedule, or at your client's home. A credentialed technologist performs every exam, and a board-certified veterinary radiologist (DACVR) reads every study. The report comes back to you.

Two ways to work with Solara

Every exam starts with your referral. Your client pays Solara directly and the radiologist's report comes back to you. Your practice is never invoiced.

IN YOUR CLINIC

Schedule a Solara day

Refer the patients who need imaging and book each one a slot. Our technologist arrives with the equipment and works through your schedule alongside your team.

  • Your patient never leaves your clinic
  • Any size of patient. Pets 25 lb and over, and all echocardiograms, are scanned in clinic
  • Your client gets an email to accept our terms and save a card, and is charged only after the exam
  • The radiologist's report and the images come back to you
Refer a patient Book a clinic-day slot Submit the referral first; it gives you the Referral ID the booking page asks for. A clinic day is confirmed once at least 3 patients are booked and their owners have saved a card.
AT YOUR CLIENT'S HOME

Refer a home visit

For cats and dogs under 25 lb who do better at home: seniors, anxious pets, mobility issues. Choose how involved you want to be.

OPTION 1

Refer and book it for your client

Submit the referral, then pick a home-visit time with your client. They get an email to accept our terms and save a card, and are charged after the exam.

OPTION 2

Send them to us

Tick the exams on the Solara referral form and hand it to your client. They upload it at referral.solarapetimaging.com, pay online and choose a visit time.

Your client pays SolaraNo invoices, contracts or equipment costs for your practice.
Consent before every examOur technologist explains the exam and confirms consent before starting. If a client declines, no exam is performed and nothing is charged.
Charged on completionFor exams you book, the client saves a card ahead and is charged once the exam is done. Clients who book online themselves pay when they book.

Built to fit how your practice already works

Keep the cases you refer out today

Ultrasound cases that leave your practice take revenue and sometimes the patient with them. With Solara, the imaging happens inside your relationship and the report comes back to you.

A DACVR read on every study

Every study is interpreted by a board-certified veterinary radiologist, and you can review the images yourself at any time.

No equipment, staff or billing

We bring our own device and kit and handle payment directly with your client. Nothing to buy, no one to train, nothing to invoice.

Every Solara technologist is a credentialed CVT or RVT with specialty imaging experience. Every study is interpreted by a board-certified veterinary radiologist.

How it works

  1. Submit a referral for each patient

On our referral page, choose "Veterinary practice", tick the exams, add the clinical question and sign with your name and license number. You'll get a Referral ID right away.

  2. Book the patient's slot

Pick a time on the clinic-day calendar and enter the Referral ID. We confirm the day once at least 3 patients are booked and their owners have saved a card.

  3. Your client accepts terms and saves a card

We email your client a secure link to review our terms and save a card. Nothing is charged yet.

  4. Our technologist works your schedule

A credentialed CVT or RVT arrives with the ultrasound device and positioning kit, joins your team in the exam room, explains the study to the client and confirms consent before starting.

  5. The client is charged, and the report comes to you

The client's card is charged once the exam is complete. Images go to a board-certified veterinary radiologist, and the report is emailed to you as soon as it's ready, typically within 48 hours.

What you receive from every study

Radiologist's report

Findings, measurements and the radiologist's impressions, emailed to you as soon as the read is complete.

The images

View the full study in a browser, review the images yourself and download them for your records.

Rush read when you need it

Add a rush read (+$150) on the referral when a faster turnaround matters.

Your clinical judgment. Your images. Your call.

Every study includes the full images, not just the report. The radiologist's read is always there when you want it, and you can open your patient's study before it arrives.
